Getting the Right Advice

By Graham McIntyre

A recent article written by David Spiteri, National Risk Manager at Centrepoint Alliance, titled The Perils of not getting Advice highlighted the risk of not getting advice before looking at superannuation consolidation. Whilst most people are concerned with paying two lots of fees, the area that is quite often forgotten is the existing insurance held within the superannuation fund. Once a rollover is requested the existing insurance coverage is lost, and depending upon your current medical health obtaining new insurance cover may not be straightforward if obtainable at all.

In essence, as the article emphases, it is better to seek advice and provide a level of comfort that you are doing the best for you financial future.
